Esporta Fitness Closing Down Parsippany Location

PARSIPPANY, NJ — A local gym will be officially closing its doors next month, an employee confirmed with Patch.

Esporta Fitness, located at 1159 Route 46 in the Troy Hills Shopping Center, will officially close its doors on Aug. 15.

Existing customers were notified that they could transfer their memberships to other Esporta Fitness locations. The gym has another location in Morris County, at 140 NJ-10, Randolph.

The gym, which is popular among residents, features multiple racquetball and basketball courts, a Kids Klub, and an indoor pool.

Troy Hills Shopping Center is located in Morris County, in Parsippany, at the intersection of Route 46 and South Beverwyck Road. Troy Hills Shopping Center, which is currently anchored by Target, Esporta Fitness, and Petco, offers a variety of shops and services such as fast casual dining, health and beauty, and banking.

It is not yet clear what will take Esporta Fitness's place in the shopping center. The gym sits on a 61,221-square-foot lot.

Earlier this spring, the Troy Hills Shopping Center announced the closure of a Dollar Tree, which had been competing with a second location on the same street just five minutes away, according to leasing documents on the Federal Realty Investment website.

Site plans show that the Dollar Tree location is now marked "TBD" in the tenant section.
