Food Truck Festival Returning To Parsippany This Weekend

The event at Veterans Memorial Park will feature a variety of food vendors, raising money for the local Kiwanis Club.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — There are generally plenty of food options in Parsippany, but it's not every day that there are more than ten at Veterans Memorial Park.

For the third year, more than a dozen vendors will serve up cuisine at the park during Parsippany's Food Truck & Music Festival.

The event, which runs from 12 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9, will help raise money for the Kiwanis Club of Greater Parsippany. Naughty Humphrey and Grand Twisted Charm will be on-site, providing live music.

Aside from the music and food, attendees can expect family-friendly activities, including a bounce house, a face painter, a henna tattoo artist, and a touch-a-truck event with a range of trucks and vehicles for children to explore.

"Bring your lawn chair and your appetite as over 15 food vendors hit Veterans Memorial Park as we get ready to say goodbye to the summer of 2023 and help raise money for the Kiwanis of Greater Parsippany," event organizers said.

Every year, Kiwanis members give more than 18.5 million hours and invest more than $100 million in service programs that enhance communities and support children.

Kiwanis International began in 1915 as a business networking organization but shifted its focus to service in 1919. Members of the group now focus primarily on assisting the community through its young people, instilling in individuals a greater sense of civic responsibility.

The Kiwanis Club of Greater Parsippany supports ten K-Kids clubs at Lake Parsippany Elementary School, Eastlake Elementary School, Intervale School, Mt. Tabor Elementary School, Littleton Elementary School, Lake Hiawatha Elementary School, Troy Hills Elementary School, Northvail Elementary School, Knollwood School, and Rockaway Meadow Elementary School, as well as two builders clubs at Central Middle School and Brooklawn Middle School and two Key Clubs at Parsippany.
