Free Kindergarten Registration Opens Soon In Parsippany Schools

Is your child or grandchild starting kindergarten in Parsippany next year? Here's how and when to register:

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Parents of children who will be starting kindergarten in the Parsippany-Troy Hills Township School District next year can begin registration on March 3.

Children who turn five years old on or before Oct. 1, 2025 may be admitted to kindergarten for the 2025/26 school year.

The documents required are listed on the Parsippany-Troy Hills Township Public Schools page, which is where the pre-registration link will go live at 9 a.m. on March 3, the district said.

Parents/guardians of children who will enter the district for the first time in kindergarten may click here to see instructions for how to begin registration. If your child currently attends preschool in the Parsippany-Troy Hills Township School District, contact their school for more information.

To complete the registration process, the following required documents must be submitted:

  • A copy of your child’s immunization record.
  • An original birth certificate or passport to verify proof of age.
  • A lease, deed, or current tax bill as proof of residence.
  • A Statement of Residency, if the residence is in someone else’s name.
  • Two of the following additional documents: a utility bill, telephone bill, or bank statement.

Additionally, children entering kindergarten must meet the following immunization requirements (students who have not met all immunization requirements will not be permitted to attend the first day of school):

  • DPT
  • Polio
  • Measles
  • Rubella
  • Mumps
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Mantoux (PPD Tuberculin)
