'Fun Fridays' Kick Off In Parsippany With Music, Farmers Market
The summer music and concert series kicks off Friday, with Alternate Groove Party Band bringing the horns and the "explosive rock and soul."
PARSIPPANY, NJ — A new community event series kicks off this summer in Parsippany, with music and movies as well as a weekly farmers market.
New Jersey- based party band Alternate Groove will hit the stage Friday at Veterans Memorial Park, playing rock, soul, and funk music with a lively brass section.
The "Fun Fridays" series runs weekly from June 21 to Aug. 23, except for on Friday, July 5. Concerts and movies run from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., and the full lineup is listed below. Guests are encouraged to bring their own seating.

And, the Parsippany Farmers Market returns weekly on Fridays from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., running from June 7 through Nov. 1. More than two dozen local vendors will be set up every week, selling farm fresh produce, quality meats, and freshly-baked bread and treats as well as unique home decor, pet goodies, and more.
All events take place at Veterans Memorial Park (1839 U.S. 46, Parsippany, NJ).

In the case of inclement weather in the forecast, officials will post any decisions by 2 p.m. on the township website and Facebook page, the town said.
