The Taalsadhana School of Indian Classical Music celebrated Saraswati Puja with an evening of classical music Saturday in Sanatan Mandir Hall, 16 Jean Terrace. Internationaly renowned sitarist Alif Laila offered a two-hour performance accompanied by tabla (Indian drums) player Suryaksha Deshpande, and sitar student Ken Einhorn performed an evening raag (melody). Saraswati is the goddess of art, music, knowledge and literature.
