Great-Grandmother, Longtime Parsippany Resident Dies At 99

Mary Torsiello moved to town in 1965.

PARSIPPANY, N.J. – Mary Torsiello made sure taking care of her family was her top priority.

The longtime Parsippany resident and great-grandmother died on May 8, Mother’s Day, at the age of 99.

Born in Nutley, Torsiello moved to Parsippany more than half a century ago and settled down in 1965.

She was a homemaker and member of St. Christopher Church. She is pre-deceased by her late husband Michael Angelo, who died in April 1981.

She is survived by two sons, two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, May 13 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Par-Troy Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. May 14 with a Liturgy of Christian Burial held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
