Grilled Cheese Shop 'Melt Shop' Opens In Rockaway Mall
The Melt Shop serves up grilled cheeses, tater tots and milkshakes. It's open in the mall now.
ROCKAWAY, NJ — Specialty grilled cheese restaurant The Melt Shop is opening their first New Jersey location in Rockaway Townsquare Mall later this week.
The shop is already open near the Sears, and a grand opening celebration will be held on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
"Bringing Melt Shop to my home state feels like things have come full circle, and I’m excited to continue growing our footprint throughout the state,” said Montclair native and Melt Shop founder Spencer Rubin.

The Melt Shop serves grilled cheeses, melt sandwiches, chicken tenders, tater tots, and milkshakes. You can see menus from their other locations here.
This is the first New Jersey location for the chain, which has several locations in Manhattan and in other states. They are also planning on opening locations in Jersey City, Edison and East Rutherford.
