Hear From Parsippany’s New Superintendent At Meet And Greet
The new superintendent began her tenure with the Parsippany School District this week.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Parents will soon have the opportunity to meet the Parsippany School District’s newest superintendent, who began her tenure this week.
Dr. Karen Chase was hired by the Parsippany Board of Education in June, but she officially started her new job on Wednesday.
On Thursday, before the Board’s meeting, Chase will be available at 5 p.m. at Parsippany High School to discuss her plans as superintendent. Officials call the meet and greet a "wonderful opportunity to welcome Dr. Chase to our community and hear her thoughts on the future of education in our schools.”

“It is a privilege to have been selected to lead a district as dynamic and diverse as Parsippany,” said Chase in a previous statement. “I have great respect for the dedication of our educators and leaders, and I believe my role is to support their work, remove barriers, and help create the conditions where both students and staff can thrive. I look forward to partnering with the Parsippany community in the important work ahead.”
Chase most recently worked as Superintendent for the Branchburg Township School District. Before that, she served as a teacher, a supervisor of instruction in the Montville Township School District, and an assistant superintendent in the School District of the Chathams.

The new appointee holds degrees in English Education and Educational Psychology and earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership, Management, and Policy.
Chase also serves as a mentor for the New Jersey School Administrator Residency Program, where she “supports aspiring superintendents and district leaders through formal mentor training and leadership development.”
According to the Board of Ed., Chase has vast experience in curriculum design, budget navigation, and “developing systems that help schools operate more effectively.”
Chase’s appointment comes after Parsippany’s Superintendent of Schools, Robert Sutter, stepped down on July 1.
The Parsippany-Troy Hills Township School District serves more than 7,000 students across ten elementary schools, two middle schools, and two high schools.
