How Boosted Is Parsippany: What New COVID-Vaccine Data Reveals
With COVID boosters now available for almost all age groups, here's how many people in Parsippany have received them.
PARSIPPANY, NJ — New data from the New Jersey Department of Health reveals what percentage of people in each city and town have received a booster or additional dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. In Parsippany, 64 percent of the eligible population has received one.
Everyone ages 5 and older is eligible for a booster shot after completing their initial COVID vaccine course. People 50 and older, and some people as young as 12 who are moderately or severely immunocompromised, are eligible for two boosters. Granted, Americans ages 5-11 have only been booster-eligible since May 19.

- ages 5-11: 0 percent
- 5 and older: 64 percent
- 12 through 17: 42 percent
- 12 and older: 63 percent
- 18 and older: 65 percent
- 30 and older: 67 percent
- 65 and older: 78 percent
Although New Jersey's springtime COVID has diminished, Morris County has the second-highest case rate as of Tuesday — 267.54 infections per 100,000 people in the past week — according to the CDC. The county trails only Bergen County (267.54 per 100,000), while Salem County has the lowest (102.59 per 100,000).
