Longtime Parsippany Resident, Retired Painter Dies At 57

PARSIPPANY, N.J. – John Sexton spent nearly 40 years of his young life living and working in Parsippany.
The longtime resident died recently at the age of 57.
Sexton was born in Brooklyn and raised in Staten Island before moving to Parsippany in 1977. He was a painter for J&J Home Repair for many years.

He is survived by his mother, three brothers, two sisters, and many extended family members.
A visitation will be held Saturday, May 28 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Par-Troy Funeral Home. Sexton’s love of the Mets and Giants was a major part of his life, and anyone attending his viewing are asked to wear their favorite sports jersey, just as John would have liked.
