Making Strides Hosts Kickoff Event Ahead Of October Walk
The community gathered on Thursday evening ahead of the upcoming fundraising walk.
PARSIPPANY, NJ – The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk hosted a kickoff event on Thursday to begin the 2024 campaign for their upcoming walk in October.
Many different attendees were present, from breast cancer survivors, caregivers, and families who have been impacted, to Mayor Barberio, Councilman Justin Musella, and Frank Cahill, Chairman of the Parsippany-Troy Hills Economic Development Advisory Board.
Those present had the opportunity to network, register for the upcoming walk, and participate in activities.

The event was a chance to foster solidarity in the community and drum up excitement about the fundraising walk.
Parsippany’s Making Strides Walk will be on Sunday, Oct. 27 starting at 8 a.m. The non-competitive walk will raise funds for breast cancer research, support patients, and spread awareness.

Last year’s walk raised more than $370,000 and had 5,000 participants joining the community to raise money for the cause.
