Mayor Soriano's Hiawatha Streetscape Hijacked in Republican Primary
Will the Business district improve it's clean community obligations after the streetscape benefits accorded them?
Mayor Soriano's North Beverwyck Streetscape Improvements Hijacked by Musella during Primary
Right before the republican primary Focus did an interview article with the Musella Team. Preserving the Past, Inspiring the Future: The Plan to revitalize Lake Hiawatha.
This was trying to take credit for the already in play North Beverwyck Street Scape, that Mayor Soriano put into action? Not to mentioned the Master Plan update, and getting Parsippany into Highlands Conformance, and finally ridding ourselves of John Inglesino. None of which was mentioned in the Inspiring Future Plan of Musella Focus Article.
What's next for Lake Hiawatha, of Musella's ,What to expect focus article had already been put in play by the Soriano Administration. 1. Establish a new dedicated grant writer 2. Comprehensive road and sidewalk audit-with prioritized repairs 3. Launch the Pride in Parsippany business beautification program.

This needs to be brought back to the fact that the Hiawatha plan was Mayor Soriano's already done deal. The streetscape that is still in process on North Beverwyck.

The launch a Pride in Parsippany Beautification Program has long been addressed with no results, beginning in February 2013 with a letter addressed to business owners along North Beverwyck to keep their premises respectable. However no enforcements were ever forthcoming, and the area remains in a substandard condition. Will clean community Ordinances be fulfilled by the various businesses after the streetscape is completed? This remains to be seen.
Improve street lighting and signage along River, and Vale Roads increased code enforcement for neglected properties
There are plenty of lights from properties, and municipal sources. What signage was Musella talking of, along Vale and River? Both River Road, and the end of Vale Road, do need stormdrain upgrades, and neighborhood clean community enforcements, as they parallel the Rockaway River, and trash directly impacts the waterway.
On Enforced code enforcements, perhaps the property owners are in financial stress? What is some structure in a state of disarray compared to the Trash we allow to infect our communities, or town employees cutting the grass, and trash too, instead of policing it first, or watering seasonal flower pots along North Beverwyck, and ignoring litter right in front of the flower pot? No Pride in Parsippany there.
Suggestion: Let's take the "lake" out of Lake Hiawatha, and rename it "Hiawatha". We should also have a Hiawatha Police Precinct. A police precinct is a geographical area that a police force patrols, often with its own designated police station. Perhaps then our beefed up Police can enforce quality of life issues? In many ways Hiawatha is a town in itself, and deserves to be treated as such.
