Medal Mania: Young Parsippany Runners Make Marks In State Competition

The 2015 campaign for the Parsippany Express cross country team has been remarkable, and a trio of runners showed their stuff on a statewide stage this past weekend.

Competing in the Junior Olympics Cross Country State Championships on Nov. 1, Brian Metz, Kira Chebishev, and Amanda Hoffman all grabbed top 15 finishes, which came with medals.

Metz finished 15th in the Boys 8 and under category with a time of 7:58 in the 1730 meter run. Chebishev finished sixth in the Girls 8 and under category with a time of 10:20 in the 2260 meter run, and Hoffmann finished ninth in the girls 11-12 category with a time of 13:15 in the 3210 meter run.
