Meet Jack: Husky In Parsippany Shelter 'Urgently' Needs Rescue
Jack didn't get a single inquiry when the shelter shared him on Facebook last week. They don't want him to spend his first birthday there.
PARSIPPANY, NJ — Meet Jack, a husky who could use an experienced owner. He has a big birthday coming up — his first — but Parsippany Animal Control wants Jack to spend it in a forever home and not in the shelter.
But finding Jack a home has been difficult. The shelter shared him June 2 on Facebook and hasn't received a single inquiry.
Here's more info on Jack from Parsippany Animal Control:

"We haven't had any luck with rescues we've reached out to.
"Jack is an 11 month old Husky who ended up at the shelter after being previously rehomed by two families. Jack needs someone who is willing and able to work with him.

"He is friendly with people, however he is uncomfortable with little kids, so he needs a home without children under the age of 14. He has been good with the dogs he has met. When Jack has an item he is very fond of, he is not happy about having it taken away from him. He is easily distracted and willing to trade his item for something else offered to him, so with some training, this behavior can get better. If this all isn't enough, Jack also has a deformity in his rear leg which causes him to limp.
