Morris Co. Farm Has Some Of NJ's Best Cider Doughnuts: Magazine
The farm is known for their classic apple cider donuts, but also features a twist on the fall favorite.
CHESTER, NJ — Fall in New Jersey means one thing: apple cider doughnuts. Mendham and Chester residents won't have to go far to get some of the best in the state, after New Jersey Monthly named Hacklebarney Farm among the best.
The magazine named the Chester farm among the best six places in New Jersey to grab an apple cider doughnut (or a few— we're not judging). It was the only place in Morris County to make the list.

Yes, they do delicious classic powdered cider doughnuts at this charming, classically barn-red, multi-generational family farm in Chester, but they also do slightly less expected fall treats like maple-glazed doughnuts each individually crowned with crumbled bacon and “Cider Dogs,” hot dogs slow simmered in their very own apple cider (because why not?).
Moved away from Chester and miss the doughnuts? The company ships out weekly. Still in the area? They're open Thursday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can enjoy pick your own pumpkins and sunflowers, and a corn maze. Weekends in October they offer live cider pressing demonstrations.
