Morris County Pets Of The Week: 2 Little Teen Dogs Seek A Home
Check out Chance and Buddie — from the Second Chance Pet Adoption League — have been named the Morris County Pets of the Week.
MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Many adoptable pets around the area are looking for loving homes. Patch will feature them in our new series, "Morris County Pet of the Week."
We will begin with not one but two pets: Chance and Buddie, from the Second Chance Pet Adoption League in Morris Plains.
As you may remember, Second Chance was home to Prancer. The chihuahua described as "demonic," "a neurotic mess" and "a traumatized Victorian child that now haunts our home" became an overnight social-media sensation. The celebrity dog has since found a forever home.

Now, Second Chance has two dogs of similar stature. But they don't quite have Prancer's clout yet — they'd need nearly 100,000 Instagram followers. So even if your home isn't right for Chance and Buddie, they could use your help getting the public's attention.
Here's more on the dynamic duo, from Second Chance:

"Someone PLEASE adopt this pair and make them Instagram stars - I mean look at those faces!?
Medically our teenagers Chance and Buddie may be a bit higher maintenance but it takes some extra effort to be this cute and sweet, ok?
Chance (with the angry looking face but NOT attitude to match) is diabetic and other than a little dramatic squeal for his twice daily injections is pretty easy to manage and cooperative. Buddie has severe dry eye and was severely overweight but has already dropped a pound and a half and his eyes are feeling much better now that he’s on the proper medications. They are fine with other dogs and make themselves comfortable sleeping in a pile with each other and other little ones, and go to the bathroom outside and on wee wee pads. These brothers are 14 years old and came to us when their owner was too ill to care for them, and are hoping to find someone to love and care for them in their golden years."
