National Bagel Day: These Are Parsippany's Best, Patch Readers Say
This weekend was National Bagel Day. Patch asked, and readers spoke out on what the best bagel around is. Here's Parsippany's best.
PARSIPPANY, NJ — As part of an old, unspoken rivalry between two neighboring states, New York has long claimed to be the world's bagel capital, but many New Jerseyans would disagree.
In honor of National Bagel Day, which occurred this Monday, we wanted to know: Where can you get the best bagel in and around Parsippany?
With so many places to try in the area, it makes sense that readers couldn't come to a consensus on a singular best place. However, there were two overwhelming responses that many readers agreed on, and those were Time for a Bagel in Morris Plains and Baldwin Bagel.

"I am a bagel fan, and my favorite stop, if I have time for the ride, is Time for a Bagel in Morris Plains. Their whole wheat everything bagel is incredibly flavorful, even without any spread. I recently found myself at Baldwin Bagels and ordered a whole wheat everything with lox spread. The bagel itself was as good or better than most in the area (excluding Time for a Bagel), but the lox spread was the best I have had, with generous full pieces of lox mixed in with the cream cheese," one reader said.
Another reader said that the French Toast bagel from Baldwin Bagel was their go-to order.

Other readers recommended Mountain Lakes Bagels, with one Patch reader saying that they are "just the right amount of fluffy and airy, often served warm and taste heavenly."
