Overnight I-80 Closures Set In Parsippany For Ongoing Bridge Repairs
I-80 eastbound is once again set to experience lane and ramp closures tonight in Parsippany-Troy Hills, according to NJDOT.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Drivers can once again expect lane closures on Interstate 80 eastbound in Parsippany-Troy Hills tonight, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT).
I-80 eastbound is scheduled for lane and ramp closures tonight, continuing until tomorrow morning.
The closures are required for bridge deck repairs on the I-80 eastbound bridge over Old Bloomfield Avenue/Edwards Road.

Starting at 10 p.m. tonight, through 6 a.m. Saturday, the I-80 eastbound local lanes will be closed, with all traffic redirected via the Exit 47A ramp to I-280 eastbound. Additionally, the right lane of I-80 eastbound express will be closed beyond Exit 47A.
At least one express lane will remain open, while the center and right lanes will be closed on the I-80 eastbound bridge over Old Bloomfield Avenue/Edwards Road, from milepost 46.1 to milepost 46.5.

The I-80 Exit 47B to Route 46 eastbound will remain open, as will the Route 46 eastbound exit to I-80 eastbound, NJDOT officials said.
The following detours will be in place:
I-80 eastbound Local detour:
- All traffic on I-80 eastbound local will be directed to take Exit 47A to I-280 eastbound/The Oranges/Newark.
- Take Exit 1/Everetts Road/New Road.
- Turn left onto New Road.
- Turn right onto Route 46 eastbound.
- Stay right to take the exit for Hook Mountain Road/U-turn.
- Stay in the right lane and cross Route 46.
- Turn right on New Maple Road.
- Stay left to take the ramp onto I-80 eastbound.
Motorists are advised to slow down, use caution and expect delays.
The work is part of a $15 million federally funded project focused on preventative maintenance and extending the service life of bridge structures across various locations in eight counties throughout North Jersey.
The timing of the work is subject to change due to weather conditions or other factors. Motorists are advised to check NJDOT’s traffic information website, 511nj.org, for updates on construction and real-time travel information.
