Parsippany-Based Surgical Company Receives Go Ahead to Market Limb Salvage System
The FDA cleared Onkos Surgical, to market its ELEOS™ Limb Salvage System to treat patients with significant bone loss, a release states.

PARSIPPANY, N.J.– The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) cleared Parsipanny-based Onkos Surgical, to market its ELEOS™ Limb Salvage System to treat patients with significant bone loss, according to a press release from the company.
"Surgical Oncology has been an underserved market for some time," said Onkos Surgical Founder and Chief Executive Officer Patrick Treacy. "These surgeons and patients deserve more. With the introduction of the ELEOS Limb Salvage System, we will continue to buildon our promise of delivering meaningful innovation in the orthopedic oncology market. Added Onkos Surgical Surgeon Advisory Board Member Dr. Steven Gitelis: "Tumor surgery is often personalized as each patient presents differently.

Onkos is planning a full launch during early 2017, according to Treacy.
