“The Tree City USA Program is set up to encourage planting and care of trees and shrubs. Participation in this program represents a strong commitment for us in our community. Parsippany is fortunate to have so many citizens, businesses, community groups and civic leaders who take pride in Parsippany’s natural beauty. We are a community that cares about our environment and will continue to launch many future greening initiatives as a reminder of the relevance of trees”, stated Mayor James Barberio. “I want to thank our Parks & Forestry Department for helping to beautify, care for and nurture our trees on a daily basis and for all those who helped to make this Arbor Day ceremony a meaningful celebration.”
