Shots Fired, 1 Injured During North Jersey Raid: DEA

PARSIPPANY, NJ — A law enforcement operation resulted in gunfire Wednesday morning, when the Drug Enforcement Administration, along with local police, executed a search warrant of a Parsippany residence.
According to police, one suspect suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Parsippany police officers were out in numbers Wednesday morning for what officials have only called a “planned law enforcement operation.”

A heavy police presence was confirmed in the area of Kingston Road and Route 202. Some residents on social media said that, along with several police cars, a police helicopter was spotted in the air.
Several streets were closed by police during the operation. Officers ordered residents on Kingston Road between Route 202 and Alloway Road to stay in their homes for the time being.
As of 9 a.m., Route 202 and Littleton Road have been reopened. However, Kingston Road between Route 202 and Alloway Road remains closed as police continue their “investigation.”
Neither the identity of the suspect nor the reason for the search warrant has been released by authorities at this time.
Police have informed residents that the situation has been resolved and that there is no danger to the public at this time.
