Family Mourning Parsippany Girl, 9, Who Died On Easter

Ashley Cistaro was a third-grader at Troy Hills Elementary School.

PARSIPPANY, N.J. – Ashley Cistaro’s curly hair, freckles, and scrunchy smile was a ray of sunshine to everyone who knew her.

The nine-year-old Parsippany resident and Troy Hills School student died on Easter Sunday, March 27, at St. Barnabas Hospital in Livingston, according to her obituary.

Cistaro was a third-grader at Troy Hills Elementary School and is survived by her parents, Joseph and Christina, and her sister Ella, along with many extended family members.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 31 at Saint Ann Roman Catholic Church on Smith Road in Parsippany.

Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, at Par-Troy Funeral Home.
