Parsippany Got Soaked: Rain Totals, Forecast For Morris County
Parsippany got pummelled with rain, and more could come Tuesday.
PARSIPPANY, NJ — It wasn't as bad as the last major storm, which flooded roads throughout Parsippany. But Monday night's precipitation left the township soaked, and there's a chance more will fall Tuesday.
The Parsippany area got about 1.5 inches of rain, according to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. Here are the rainfall totals around Morris County:
- Passaic River at Two Bridges (Lincoln Park area): 1.43 inches
- Passaic River below Canoe (Madison area): 1.53 inches
- Passaic River near Millington (Long Hill area): 1.54 inches
- Primrose Brook at Morristown National Historic Park: 1.48 inches
- Rockaway River (near Picatinny Arsenal): 1.49 inches
- Rockaway River near Rockaway: 1.47
- South Branch Raritan River Upper (Budd Lake area): 1.72 inches
- Whippany River (Randolph area): 1.68 inches
- Whippany River near Pine Brook: 1.48 inches
Forecasters projected 1-1.5 inches for Morris County, with the possibility of 2 inches in Monday night's storm. While the rain wasn't excessive, there's a slight chance more will fall in Parsippany throughout Tuesday.

After Tuesday, forecasters predict clear weather for the rest of the week in Parsippany.

- Tuesday: A slight chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 50. Breezy, with a west wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
- Tuesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 36. West wind 10 to 15 mph.
- Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 58. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
- Wednesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 40. Calm wind.
- Thursday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 64. Light south wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.
- Thursday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 47.
