Parsippany Honors Two Residents Going The 'Extra Mile'
Riya Dadheech and Anikait Sota have been named "Extra Mile Heroes."
PARSIPPANY, NJ - The Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills is participating in "Extra Mile Day" be celebrating the work of two township residents.
Extra Mile America is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that empowers individuals, organizations, and cities to "go the extra mile." According to their website, their work is inspired by the belief that "going the extra mile" opens doors to new possibilities.
Riya Dadheech and Anikait Sota chose to acknowledge two very special residents for going the Extra Mile for the Parsippany community. Sota hosted online Rubik's Cube tutorials to solve the popular puzzle and has paid it forward by helping donate $1,700 to a Parsippany food bank.

Sota's passion for the 3x3 Cube included hosting weekly cube-solving lessons online for donations.
When COVID-19 struck, instead of locking inside home, Dadheech, a rising high school student launched "Classes 4 A Cause," raised over $4000 and supported the community. Riya delivered PPEs to Front Line responders and food to local Food pantries.

Through volunteering, community service, and other impactful activities these individuals have made a difference in the community," officials said.
