Parsippany Man Crashes Stolen Motorcycle, Found With Drugs, Police Say
The accused was also in possession of a weapon, drug paraphernalia, and other prohibited items, police said.
MIDDLETOWN, NJ — A Parsippany man has been arrested after crashing a stolen motorcycle in Central Jersey, according to the Middletown Police Department.
Michael Crupi, 48, was arrested on Monday after fleeing the scene of an accident in Middletown, Monmouth County, police said. He was discovered to be driving a stolen motorcycle and in possession of drugs, according to officials.
On Monday, around 12:45 p.m., Middletown police were dispatched to the area of Route 35 and Cherry Tree Farm Road on a report of a car crash. When officers arrived, they learned that the motorcycle involved “fled the area immediately” after the crash, authorities said.

Police located Crupi and the motorcycle near Wilson Avenue and State Route 36. After a brief foot chase, police arrested him.
He was found to be in possession of several prohibited items, including suspected drugs and a knife, police said.

An investigation revealed that the motorcycle had been stolen out of Wall Township.
Crupi was charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle, obstruction, resisting arrest, possession of suspected crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of burglar’s tools, unlawful possession of a knife, credit card theft, false documents, driving while intoxicated, unlicensed driver, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident, and a slew of other motor vehicle violations.
He was placed in the Monmouth County Correctional Institute in Freehold to await court proceedings.
Crupi was previously accused of robbing a Monmouth County deli and a GameStop in 2013.
