Parsippany Parkinson's Support Group Founder, Longtime Resident Dies At 75

PARSIPPANY, N.J. – Ricardina “Rickie” Bentekovics lived to help others.
The longtime Parsippany resident died recently at the age of 75.
Born in Portugal, Bentekovics moved to the United States as a child and lived in the Ironbound section of Newark. She moved one last time to Parsippany in 1969.

She was the head and founder of the Parkinson’s support group in Parsippany for 13 years and a member of St. Christopher women’s society and Republican County Committee.
She is predeceased by her late husband, Joseph, who died in November 2004.

She is survived by one son.
