PARSIPPANY, N.J. – The Parsippany Police Department will begin a Police Explorer program for young adults to learn more about the life of law enforcement.

The program is designed to help youth gain insight into the expectations and duties of law enforcement careers, Mayor James Barberio said.

The program is open to youths ages 14 to 20 who will have access to the daily activities of the Parsippany Police Department, and is designed to provide young men and women with life skills, character education and leadership experience to become productive members of society in addition to having the opportunity to start a future career in law enforcement.
