Parsippany Pride Pounces, Brings Home Softball Title

The Parsippany Pride was created just two years ago, but they already need a trophy case.

The 12U softball team got off to a rough start this year, but made its presence felt at an end of season tournament, besting its competition to take home a title.

Game one of three consecutive competitions came against Long Valley, which Parsippany dismantled 17-9. After that the Pride faced off against Kinnelon, which beat the young ladies from Parsippany just a week prior. That didn’t matter this time around, when Parsippany’s bats again came alive, winning 13-7.

Then came the championship game against High Point. It was a nail-biter from start to finish, with the Pride winning 5-3.
