Parsippany Road Name Changed to 'Alex DeCroce Memorial Highway'

In a ceremony that included a who’s who of northern New Jersey politics, late Assemblyman and former Parsippany resident Alex DeCroce was honored as a major roadway in town was named for the legislator.

Route 53 in Parsippany has been renamed to the Alex DeCroce Highway. During his time in state politics, DeCroce was an avid proponent of transportation issues in New Jersey and was the prime sponsor of legislation that renewed the Transportation Trust Fund and a strong advocate for crime victim’s rights.

Officials present for the ceremony included Betty Lou DeCroce, John Bramnick, Jay Webber, Anthony Bucco, Thomas Kean, John Cesaro and Edward Rochford.

Mayor James Barberio emceed the program.
