Parsippany-Troy Hills School District Honored For Outstanding Music Education

The school district has been consecutively recognized every year since 2017.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — The Parsippany-Troy Hills School District has once again been recognized for its outstanding achievements in music education.

The school district has announced that for the eighth year in a row, it has been recognized by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation as one of the “Best Communities in the Nation for Music Education.”

The NAMM Foundation is a nonprofit organization with the purpose of making music education accessible to any and all aspiring musicians. The program strives to “advance active participation in music through scientific research, philanthropic giving, and public service programs.”

The Parsippany-Troy Hills School District offers a wide variety of music programs for its students, including marching band, choir, musicals, and more

“The (NAMM) award program recognizes and celebrates outstanding efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students, and community leaders who have made music education part of a well-rounded education,” an NAMM statement read. “Designations are made to districts and schools that demonstrate an exceptionally high commitment to and access to music education.”

Other local districts receiving the honor include West Morris Regional, Montville, and Chatham.
