Inexpensive dinner idea

Slowcooker lasagna (click on title and follow recipe)- feeds at least 6, i made this this week and it turns out great. Easy to prep before work - you basically just follow the directions to combine most of the cheeses in one bowl, while you cook the meat with onion and garlic before adding in the cans of tomatoes. Once cooked, you layer everything into your slowcooker and mine looked like regular oven baked lasagna once done. It does not slice as neatly, but tasted great.

Pantry Items
1 medium yellow onion , chopped
3 garlic cloves , minced
2 tsp kosher salt
2 tsp dried basil
2 tsp dried oregano
2 tbs worcestershire sauce
1 cup water
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
cooking spray

Main ingredients
$.99 - must break up sale package of turkey for this price. 1/2 pound Italian turkey sausage- I use Jennie-O Sweet Italian Turkey Sausage Links , with the casings removed
~$2.50 /2 pound lean ground turkey
$1.49 bowl & basket 1 28 ounce can crushed tomatoes
$1.19/bowl & basket 1 16 ounce can petite diced tomatoes
$1 / bowl & basket ($1.99 a package, but only needs half a package) 8 oz lasagna noodles, uncooked
$2.99/ daisy 2 cups 1% cottage cheese
$2.99/galbani 2 cups part skim mozzarella cheese
