Parsippany's General Election 2025: Unofficial Results
Two candidates are vying to become mayor, and four candidates are vying for two seats on the council.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Polls for Parsippany's General Election have closed, and results are beginning to stream in.

Mayoral Race
Two people are vying to become the Mayor of Parsippany.

Incumbent Republican Mayor James Barberio is seeking another four-year term, having served as Parsippany’s mayor from 2010 to 2018. After losing his third re-election attempt in 2017 to Democrat Michael Soriano, Barberio returned in 2021 to beat Soriano and has served as the town’s mayor since.
Democrat Challenger, Pulkit Desai, is a 25-year resident of Lake Parsippany, an ex-Marine, and a cybersecurity professional.

- *Barberio, Republican — 9,542 votes (50.39%)
- Desai, Democrat —9,333 votes (49.92%)
Council Race
Four candidates are vying for two open seats on the council.

- Frank Neglia, Republican — 8,401 votes (23.16%)
- Jigar Shah, Republican — 7,962 votes (21.95%)
- Diya Patel, Democrat — 9,802 votes (27.02%)
- Matt Kavanagh, Democrat — 10,056 (27.72%)
All results are unofficial until certified by the county clerk.
