Pharma Giant Leaving Parsippany Headquarters For New N.J. Location

Global company consolidating two Garden State locations into one.

PARSIPPANY, N.J. – Pharmaceutical company Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. announced Monday it will be merging two of its New Jersey locations into one, leaving two separate towns for a new campus.

The U.S. subsidiary of Daiichi Sankyo Company, Ltd. will pull its Parsippany and Edison locations and combine them into one, 305,000-square-foot facility in Basking Ridge on Mount Airy Road.

"Uniting our New Jersey-based personnel into a single location not only makes us more efficient, but it will also further strengthen collaboration among teams working across the entire life cycle of our medicines," said Glenn Gormley, MD, PhD, Chairman of the Board and President, Daiichi Sankyo, Inc., in a statement. "We have enjoyed being a part of the Parsippany and Edison communities and we look forward to what the future holds in our new headquarters.”

The company expects to begin moving employees into the new location in 2017. The Basking Ridge location is the former home of Avaya Inc, njbiz.com reported.
