Police Log: Burglaries Among Recent Complaints In Parsippany
Jewelry and tools among goods recently snatched during burglaries in Parsippany.

Two burglaries are reported among recent complaints in Parsippany by the Police Department:
Aug. 22
According to the Parsippany Police Department, two burglaries in two different locations in town were reported on August 22 at about 6 AM. The first caller reported a burglary at the BP Gas Station on Littleton Road. When the officers arrived, they were told that at some point during the evening, between 11:30 PM the night before and 5:30 AM the morning of the 22nd, an unknown suspect(s) broke into the building. After a brief investigation, it was determined that the unknown suspect(s) made entry through the front door and removed numerous items, including cartons of cigarettes and cash.

The second caller reported a burglary at the Lake Hiawatha Shell Station on North Beverwyck Road. Upon arrival, officers determined that the unknown suspect(s) forced their way through a door and stole tools from inside the structure at some point during the night, between 11:00 PM and 6:00 AM that morning.
The Parsippany Investigative Division along with the Morris County Sheriff’s Office CID responded to both scenes to assist in the investigation. These incidents remain under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the Parsippany Investigative Division at 973-263-4311.
Aug. 26
At about 2:11 PM, the Parsippany Police Department’s Communication Center received a phone call reporting a burglary at a residence on Rita Drive. The residence was secured by responding Officers. After a brief investigation it was determined that the unknown suspect(s) removed an air conditioning unit from a window and entered through the opening in the window. Once inside they stole multiple pieces of jewelry along with US currency. Parsippany Police Department detectives along with the Morris County Sheriff’s Department CID arrived on scene to assist in the investigation. This incident remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the Parsippany Investigative Division at 973-263-4311.
