Police Officer Position Open At Parsippany Township

PARSIPPANY, NJ — The Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills Police Department is hiring.
Mayor James R. Barberio and Police Chief Richard Pantina have announced that the township is accepting applications for Entry-Level Police Officer positions.
This is a full-time position with no previous experience or certification needed to apply.

According to police, applicants must be U.S. citizens and New Jersey residents, at least 18 years old, and must be hired before their 35th birthday. Candidates must also hold a valid, unrestricted New Jersey driver’s license and successfully complete a written exam, physical ability test, interview, and medical, psychological, and drug screenings.
A background investigation will also be conducted prior to hiring, officials said.

Applicants currently enrolled in a police academy, or those who have completed training through the Alternate Route program but have not yet been hired by another agency, are also eligible to apply. Candidates in these categories should include their anticipated graduation date on their résumé.
However, those who are already PTC-certified—excluding individuals who have only completed a SLEO I or II academy—are not eligible, officials said.

The filing deadline is April 27 at midnight. However, background investigations and interviews may begin prior to the application deadline.
