Popular Hot Chicken Chain Opening Newest Parsippany Outpost

PARSIPPANY, NJ — A New Jersey chicken chain, known for its Pakistani-style Nashville hot chicken, is expanding with its latest location opening this week in Parsippany.

Namkeen Hot Chicken + Waffles will open its next location this Thursday in the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany, at 9 North Beverwyck Road.

This new location marks Namkeen’s fourth. Owners Usman Chaudhry and Amena Chaudhri opened the first Namkeen in Chatham in 2020, aiming to 'bring some heat' to the hot chicken scene with Pakistani spices and flavors. Since then, they’ve expanded to Metuchen and Brooklyn, both in 2023.

“We’re beyond excited to bring Namkeen to Lake Hiawatha,” Chaudhry said. “Our customers have supported us every step of the way, and we can’t wait to introduce our signature flavors to a new community. We believe great food brings people together, and that’s exactly what we aim to do with this opening.”

Namkeen's menu features tasty fusions like the Fried Chicken Tikkaville Sandwich, masala-seasoned fries, and a burger with mint and tamarind chutney, alongside classics such as Nashville hot chicken sandwiches, wings, tenders, Belgian waffles, and fries.

Patrons can adjust the spice levels, inspired by Eminem’s 'Lose Yourself': Naked (calm and ready), Mild (palms sweaty), Medium (knees weak), and Hot (BLAOW!). The menu, previously provided to Patch, also features dessert waffles and a selection of beverages, including chai tea, shakes, mocktails and sodas.
