Pot Shop Application Window Extended In Parsippany

Interested parties now have more time to apply for a Municipal Cannabis Business License.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Those looking to establish a cannabis business in Parsippany have a little more time to apply.

The township has extended the application window to apply for a Municipal Cannabis Business License. The application deadline was originally Aug. 31, but the township is now accepting applications until Sept. 16 at 4 p.m.

Applications must be submitted both physically and electronically, and will be reviewed by Parsippany’s cannabis attorney, Ron Mondello, before being forwarded to the township’s Cannabis Review Board for evaluation.

Interested applicants should review ordinances 2024:21 and 2025:08 to learn more about the requirements and zoning restrictions on Parsippany’s cannabis businesses.

  • Properly signed and executed legal documents
  • Legible materials with no blank fields

Incomplete applications will be rejected by township officials. Additionally, the approval process will take around 60 days after the application deadline.

An application can be found online here. Five hard copies should be sent to the Office of Administration, 1001 Parsippany Blvd, Parsippany, NJ 07054. One electronic copy should be emailed to Parsippany Business Administrator Jamie Cryan at jcryan@parsippany.net.
