PARSIPPANY, NJ — Power has been restored in Parsippany after a widespread outage disrupted more than 1,000 residents on Sunday evening.

At its peak, the Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) outage affected nearly 2,000 local residents, officials confirmed. The outage, caused by a compromised utility pole near Baldwin Road, was resolved in the early hours of Monday morning.

Late Sunday evening, JCP&L crews were dispatched across the township to assess the damage and begin repairs, which were completed within a few hours.
