PTA President Accused Of Stealing $10K From Parsippany School
Police say the woman stole about $10,000 from the PTA over the past two years.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — A Parsippany woman is accused of stealing $10,000 from a Parent Teacher Association over the past two years, Parsippany Police Chief Andrew Miller said.
Dawn Filippone, 45, was charged with one count of misapplication of entrusted property on Dec. 6, Miller said. Filippone served as the president and the treasurer of the Intervale Elementary School PTA, police said.
Police say an investigation into Filippone began after a fellow board member reviewed the PTA's financial records and contacted police. About $10,000 was taken out of PTA funds between 2016 and 2018, Miller said.
