Restaurant Opens In Parsippany, Replacing Houlihan's

Social Hub by Dhaba, which had its soft opening earlier this summer, hosted its official grand opening this month.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — More than three months after its soft opening, Social Hub by Dhaba, the new Indian restaurant that replaced the previously closed Houlihan's, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark its grand launch.

Social Hub by Dhaba, first opened its doors to the Parsippany community with a soft opening on May 31.

On Sept. 9, the restaurant owners, along with Parsippany Township officials, including Mayor James Barberio, marked their official addition to the township community with their grand opening ceremony.

“I wish you success,” Barberio said. “Parsippany is a very diverse town, and the menu here seems just as varied.”

The restaurant is located at 1735 US-46 in Parsippany-Troy Hills, which was previously occupied by Houlihan’s, which abruptly closed its doors for good last year.

Houlihan's filed for bankruptcy in November 2019 but was then bought up by Landry's Inc. for $40 million, according to Bloomberg.

Social Hub by Dhaba is owned by Fine Indian Group, which owns restaurants around New York City and New Jersey. Social Hub by Dhaba is the company's tenth restaurant.

Social Hub by Dhaba is a premium Indian-inspired multi-cuisine restaurant with a premium bar, restaurant, and lounge. The restaurant provides a one-of-a-kind dining experience with exciting food, fantastic cocktails, spirits and wines, as well as mocktails.

"Our family-owned restaurants are some of the top Indian dining spots in NYC and NJ, with menus carefully crafted to bring authentic Indian flavors to traditional and fusion dishes. We bring the top chefs from India and neighboring countries to elevate the food and experience. We’ve been featured in Food Network and various publications," Fine Indian Group said.

The menu at Social Hub by Dhaba features a wide variety of Indian dishes, from traditional favorites to modern fusion cuisine.

For example, Indian classics such as Malai butter chicken, a variety of curries and naan, are available, as are a mix of American classics such as chicken sandwiches, burgers, pizza and plates of pasta.

The restaurant features an outdoor patio, which is open for dining, and it also offers event spaces for parties and other gatherings.

"We can accommodate any size of gatherings, whether you’re looking to host a birthday party, wedding reception, or corporate event, The Social Hub is the perfect place to create lasting memories," restaurant officials said.

The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. on Sundays through Thursdays and from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
