Road Work Causing Detours, Delays In Parsippany

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Road work is causing detours and delays for drivers in Parsippany on Monday morning.

Police have notified motorists that Route 53 will be reduced to one lane in the vicinity of Park Road throughout the day on Monday due to essential road construction. Traffic will be alternated during this period.

Additionally, Park Road will be closed to through traffic between James Street and Route 53, officials said.

Police said that drivers needing to reach Mount Tabor School will still be able to access the area.

The closure will remain in effect from now until approximately 5 a.m. Tuesday.
