Santa Coming To Lake Hiawatha Saturday
The Lake Hiawatha Fire Department will be escorting the big guy around for an early Christmas visit.
PARSIPPANY, NJ - Santa Claus is coming to Lake Hiawatha on Saturday and the Lake Hiawatha Fire Department has been given clearance from the North Pole to escort Santa Claus around their fire district.
Santa and his helpers from District 4 will be out in our fire trucks wearing masks, driving through our district, starting around 10 a.m. Unfortunately, they will not be stopping and will not be handing out candy canes due to the COVID pandemic and will remain on the trucks.
"We hope you understand, as we have to ensure Santa's health as well as our own and the community we serve. We have no set route, but we will make it to every street. Please listen for our sirens and come out to see the big man," officials said. "We are proud to serve and protect our community, and we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a very healthy and safe New Year."
