School Bus Crash Halts Traffic On I-80 in Parsippany

The collision caused the bus to crash through the highway's median.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Police are investigating a school bus crash that occurred on I-80 on Thursday morning.

On Thursday, just before 10 a.m., state troopers were called out to a car crash on Interstate 80 east near milepost 40.4 in Parsippany-Troy Hills.

Troopers found that a tractor-trailer traveling east in the center lane had hit a school bus traveling in the left lane. The impact caused the bus to “lose directional control” and slam into the center median, police said.
