ShopRite Holds Grand Reopening After Renovations In Parsippany
The grocery store held its official grand re-opening on Saturday, April 29, officials said.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — With an official re-opening ceremony held this past weekend, the local grocery store, ShopRite, has completed work on a large-scale renovation of its store on Route 46 in Parsippany.
Beginning this past Saturday, the ShopRite location officially began offering a number of new services and amenities to customers, including new interior decor, an expanded produce section and a complete reset of the store.
"Congratulations to Dara Sblendorio and the ShopRite family. You have been a fixture of Parsippany for many years, and have given back so much to the community," said Parsippany-Troy Hills Mayor James Barberio.

For the official ribbon-cutting, Dara Sblendorio, president of Sunrise ShopRite, which owns and operates the ShopRite of Parsippany, was joined by Barberio and Robert Peluso, president of the Parsippany Area Chamber of Commerce.
ShopRite held a number of special store tastings and Sunrise Kitchens product tastings to commemorate the grand reopening.

The Gladstein family, who have been in the grocery business for four generations, owns Sunrise ShopRite, the family-owned business that runs the ShopRite of Parsippany and the ShopRite of West Caldwell.
Sunrise Market was founded in Caldwell in 1940 by Sblendorio's great-grandfather. In 1951, her family joined the Wakefern cooperative and later opened ShopRite stores.
Sblendorio's father, Ned Gladstein, was named president in 1982 and currently serves as an advisor and chief financial officer. Sblendorio was elected president in 2017, and her husband, Frank Sblendorio, is the manager of ShopRite of Parsippany.
Other store improvements include a new Wines and Spirits entrance, which provides easy access for customers who don't need a full grocery run but are interested in shopping the store's extensive wine and spirits selection.
Customers will also notice an expanded Sunrise Kitchens section, which includes a larger selection of store-made entrees and sides, as well as ready-to-eat, ready-to-heat, and ready-to-cook items created by ShopRite's chefs.
The ShopRite store is located at 808 US-46 in Parsippany-Troy Hills and is open daily from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m.
