Smoke, Haze In North Jersey Coming From Pa. Forest Fire: Cops

Blaze was intentionally set in the Poconos Wednesday, reports say.

An intentionally set forest fire in Monroe County, Pennsylvania has caused enough damage to push smoke across northern New Jersey, according to local police departments.

Roxbury Township Police and Morris Township Police departments both released announcements around 8 p.m. Sunday stating, "the smoke and haze you may experience is a result of a forest fire in Pennsylvania."

That fire, according to wfmz.com, was intentionally set and residents in the Poconos were forced to evacuate their homes.
