Smoke, Ribs, And Blues For Charity In Boonton
Boonton United Methodist Church holds charity for victims of Superstorm Sandy and malaria.

The Boonton United Methodist Church will be serving ribs and dishing blues up in the name of charity on September 10.
A parade of acts, including Slam Allen, 2016 Blues Music Awards nominee for Best New CD; Australian blues guitarist Geoff Achison; and Jersey’s own Barbecue Bob & the Spareribs will transform the church's great lawn into an outdoor concert. Attendees can fill up with pulled pork, brisket, ribs, and more, smoked, sizzled, and grilled up for purchase by competition pit-masters Texas Smoke BBQ of Jefferson. Curly's will also sell veggie burgers, hot dogs, popcorn, and ice cream.
The entire proceeds of the Guitarbeque will go to various funds, including “A Future with Hope,’’ which helps families still trying to recover from Superstorm Sandy, and Imagine NO Malaria, a program with plans to cut malaria deaths in half with bed nets and other resources. Additional charity money will go to local projects, like the Boonton food pantry.
