Teen Missing From Mountain Lakes, Might Have Left NJ: Officials

BREAKING: Police say the 15-year-old, pictured, might have taken the train to New York, and was interested in California.

MOUNTAIN LAKES, NJ — A Mountain Lakes teenager has been missing since Oct. 30, and may have left New Jersey, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp said.

Thomas Kolding, 15, pictured, was last seen at home in Mountain Lakes, where he lives with his parents. Officials believe he took the train from Denville to Newark Broad Street, and then a second train from Newark to New York Penn Station. They're not sure where he went next, but Kolding had a "strong interest" in traveling to California, Carey said.
