Temple Beth Am is so excited to announce our speakers for this coming year’s Rabbi Steven Mills Speaker’s series. This is the sixth year of our very successful speaker series as part of our Friday evening services. Each speaker brings a unique perspective on a wide range of tops. Rabbi Joel E. Soffin –

Rabbi Soffin has been a life-long social activist, addressing the needs of the poor and the vulnerable in many places around the world. He also created the Adult Mitzvah Corps of the Reform Movement and the teen Bonim Banim – Building Youth projects, organizing weeks of Jewish Religious Living in New Orleans and several other American cities, including home building and restoration projects. Upon his retirement from Temple Shalom, generous donors enabled him to create Jewish Helping Hands to continue his important social action work.

Rabbi Neal Gold –

Topic TBD - Rabbi Gold teaches and writes about Jewish texts, Israel, and intersections between Jewish life and the contemporary world. He completed an MA in Near Eastern & Judaic Studies at Brandeis University. He is the Jewish Chaplain & Hillel Director at Babson College in Wellesley, MA and the President of the Massachusetts Board of Rabbis. He has served as the national Director of Program & Content for ARZA.

Cantor Josee Wolff –

How Jewish Music Touches our Lives - Cantor Wolff serves at part time cantor at Congregation Emanuel of the Hudson Valley and is an adjunct faculty member at the Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music, Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in New York and a faculty member of the Cantorial School at the Abraham Geiger Kolleg in Berlin Germany. Previously she was Director of the Department of Synagogue Music of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations and served Reform congregations in the US and Europe for the past 15 years.

Dr. Ken Kline -

The Rabbi Who Lived in a Cave for 30 Years

Dr. Kenneth S Kline, CP,PHD, is a Clinical Psychologist specialist in Succasunna, New Jersey and New York City. He attended and graduated from University of Wisconsin Medical School in 1975, having over 46 years of diverse experience, especially in Clinical Psychologist.
