Trunk Or Treat To Return To Parsippany
The annual event will feature food trucks, a pumpkin patch, and more family fun.
PARSIPPANY, NJ — Candy, cars, and creepy decorations are once again in store for Parsippany’s upcoming Trunk Or Treat event.
The event, which serves as a pre-Halloween trick-or-treat program, is slated for Oct. 25 at Smith Field from 1 to 4 p.m.
Organizers are looking for volunteers to participate in the annual event. Those who don’t want to bring their cars to the event can be provided with a table.

Cars should be decorated with some spooky Halloween decorations, and creativity is always a plus.
Entry requires one bag of factory-sealed candy, containing no less than 50 pieces of candy, per child.

See parking rules for volunteers, provided by the Parsippany Recreation Department:
- There is no admission fee, but you MUST register online at pthreconline.com or at the Recreation Department Office by Wednesday, Oct. 22.
- Event Check-in — 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Vehicles MUST remain until the end of the event. Once the Police notify us of the all clear, vehicles will be allowed to leave.
- For participants distributing from tables along the route, we will be providing 8-foot-long tables
- You must bring a bag of candy to start off with, but during the event, staff will be distributing candy to replenish your supply with the candy donations from the trick or treaters.
- This is a Rain or Shine Event
“Bring the family for a fun, safe, and festive afternoon of trick-or-treating,” a township statement read. “Decorated trunks, candy, food trucks, pumpkin patch, music, and more.”
