Trunk-or-treating is a fun twist on traditional trick-or-treating. Instead of going door to door, kids collect candy from vehicles decked out in festive decorations. It’s considered a safer alternative and has become increasingly popular nationwide in recent years.
To take part in the community event, each child must provide a bag of candy with a minimum of 50 individually wrapped treats. According to township officials, participants are required to bring factory-sealed candy—homemade treats will not be allowed.

Due to the high demand for participants in 2023, any attendees who arrive without the required candy admission will be asked to leave and return with one bag of candy, officials said.
There is no admission fee, but you must register online at pthreconline.com or at the Recreation Department Office by Oct. 21.
During the event, staff will distribute treats to replenish the candy supply with donations from trick-or-treaters, and please note that no pets or animals are allowed during the celebration.
